Kim's Story
Life
Beverly Kim is known as Kim to all her friends and others. I work at UNLV in the Department of Theatre where we put on 13 venues of plays each year - lots of fun and exciting people to meet. I'm the office manager - took after my mother on that one. I enjoy Beta Sigma Phi, the arts, reading, writing, and many other things but not crazy about team sports. I am an active person who likes people. An unexpected twist happened when I visited a fellow East Higher - Robert Hitpas and I fell in love very quickly (and who doesn't believe in love at first sight?!? - Not me until...). We married and are working at starting life as a couple in their 60's. It's different. It's very nice to find a good relationship at this stage in life! I'm lovin' life!

ained in life has been influenced by those two professors.
I don't know that I would have changed a lot. As a young teenager, I was not in charge of my life like students today are. I bowed a lot to parental pressure. Perhaps I would have gone further in math.
White Jackets was a particular honor for me. Working on the Spotlight was a particular joy. Each has played a learning-to-life experience for me.
College
Went to CSU after working for a year. Had nice roommates then had a short marriage to Max Westfahl (4 years). Worked my way through college and that limited a lot of social life, but I enjoyed my studies in Technical Journalist and the various classes. I tell students today that what I learned at CSU pays dividents in all sorts of ways in every day life. I really believe that. College life was great and the experiences were right there. I liked the library and student union, Old Main, and walking across campus. Good times!
